Production Times September 2014
In the September issue of Production Times, I write about being “consumer centric”, I share some great production and I ask you- “Do you Remembah?”
Having been involved in radio, then retail advertising and marketing gives me the unique perspective for understanding how important it is for the voice artist to truly grasp the clients message before attempting to sell to the intended audience. Years of copy writing experience gives me the edge in understanding message delivery to achieve the right "flavor" for the script.
It all began....
My first radio gig was answering phones for a contest to guess Frankenstein's shoe size for tickets to the haunted house! I started out doing narration and announcer duties for presentations in high school in 1981. Then moved to a career in radio in 1983 where I was first exposed to producing commercials and station imaging using reel to reel! Those roots led me to providing the voice for various commercials and presentations ever since. Including national advertising campaigns for R&L Carriers and even a 5 minute military systems video presentation for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. My voice has been used for music on hold messages, closed circuit tv messages, and radio and tv commercials as well as TV programming drops.
